G. Ralston Major ll, MD- Your Bariatrics Physician:
A LaGrange native, Dr. Ralston Major joined his father’s general surgery practice (Dr. Grant Major), also following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Dr. Cecil Paul Major- who was among the first seven physicians at Clark-Holder Clinic.
With a young family of his own, Dr. Major is focused on bringing a high level of care to families and individuals of all ages in Troup County. In addition to his broad spectrum of general surgery experience, he received in-depth training in the areas of thyroid disease, endoscopy/colonoscopy, varicose vein treatment, and bariatric surgery.
Dr. Major earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta after graduating from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is a member of the American College of surgeons and the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
